When Beck bought the café from its previous owner, she saw more than just a business — she saw potential. The space hadn’t been refreshed in years, so she gave it a new name and set out to create a brand that felt like her: welcoming, down-to-earth, and full of warmth. A true morning person, Beck’s love of sunrise and her belief that everyone deserves to feel accepted became the heart of the new brand identity.
Through the Brand Treasure Map process, we explored Beck’s vision for a friendly, feel-good space where everyone feels welcome — from early-morning regulars to curious travellers passing through.
The project began with a deep-dive brand strategy consultation, competitor research, and a visual discovery moodboard to uncover what made Beck’s Place truly special. From there, I developed a full visual identity system including logo design, colour palette, typography, patterns, and a style guide — all inspired by the warmth of sunrise and the simple joy of good food shared with good people.
To ensure the café’s physical space reflected its refreshed brand, I created Photoshop mock-ups and redecoration suggestions based on the existing interior, helping bridge the gap between digital and in-person experience. The project also included a new tagline, plus my signature Business Planner spreadsheet — a custom-built hub for storing key brand assets, passwords, and marketing links to keep everything shipshape.
A warm, cohesive identity that captures Beck’s Place as it truly is: friendly, genuine, and full of heart.
